Local grub, scales and all.

Today I went out to lunch with a co-worker and he introduced me to a new local food. Bite-sized, fried whole fish. They were very salty, spicy, and a bit sweet. It was a complex mix of new tastes and textures. You traditionally eat them with rice and a dipping sauce. It took me a few fish to get used to it, but by the end of the dish I was doing pretty good.
